Freedom Technology Solutions opens in the Globe Building for about 50 employees

A tech company has opened a new office in St. Louis’ Globe Building, the latest tenant to join the multi-tenant office property in the Wash Ave neighborhood.
Freedom Technology Solutions earlier this month opened an office in the historic Globe Building at 710 N. Tucker Blvd. for about 50 employees, the company said.
Founded in 2004, the Columbia, Maryland–based company works with clients in the national intelligence sector, including the Department of Defense.
The region’s sixth-largest office property based on its square footage of 626,760, the Globe Building has become a hub for technology firms. Features like sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) space and on-site data centers have made it a desirable location for firms that contract with federal agencies, particularly the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, which has a campus in St. Louis.
Steven Thomas, senior vice president of National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and National Reconnaissance Office programs at Freedom Technology Solutions, said in a statement the Globe Building is an advantageous location for the company.
“We have access to best-in-class SCIF space, and we sit next to professionally managed data centers located elsewhere in the building and which offer the digital infrastructure and robust connectivity which we need to protect and rapidly utilize our proprietary data and support our mission critical workloads.”
Freedom Technology Solutions’ website shows several active job listings for St. Louis–based roles, almost all of them technology-related.
The Globe Building’s other tenants include medical robotics manufacturer Stereotaxis, aerospace and defense firm BAE Systems, and geospatial technology company T-Kartor. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department opened a new station for its downtown bike unit on the building’s ground floor in May 2025.
The building also houses about five separately owned and operated data centers.
The Globe Building was built in 1932 and has been owned by Globe Building Co. since 1982. That’s tied to attorney Steve Stone.
Unlike most large downtown office properties, the Globe Building’s assessed value has risen significantly since 2019. Its assessed value for 2026 is over $2.6 million, according to city records.
Downtown St. Louis had an office vacancy rate of 29.7% in the second quarter of 2026, according to data from Cushman & Wakefield.
