Coffeestamp is opening a third café on Washington Avenue

Brothers Patrick and Spencer Clapp are bringing Coffeestamp, their locally owned roastery, to 1228 Washington Avenue — the historic Rudman on the Park building, former Wasabi space — as a third café, Riley Hansen reported for Sauce Magazine on May 20, 2026. Developers revitalizing Wash Ave approached the Clapps, Hansen wrote. The idea dates to 2016; the roastery to 2018; then full-service coffee and food. The Clapps are originally from Honduras; beans come from lifelong friend Miguel Giron’s farm, La Finca Alondra San Vicente. The downtown menu, Hansen reported, is similar to the other shops: coffee, beans, tea, kombucha, empanadas, sandwiches, pastries, breakfast — plus a breakfast sandwich exclusive to downtown, then in development.

Sauce said 1228 Washington Ave was expected to open late this summer — late summer 2026, from a May 20 story. As of August 26, 2026, coffeestamp.com still listed only 2511 S. Jefferson. No public grand-opening date was posted there.
