St. Louis CITY SC is a Major League Soccer (MLS) expansion team based in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. It was announced as the 28th MLS franchise on August 20, 2019 and began playing in the league in 2023.
The team is owned by a group led by Carolyn Kindle Betz, the president of the Enterprise Holdings Foundation, and includes several other prominent St. Louisans such as Jim Kavanaugh, CEO of World Wide Technology, and the Taylor family, owners of Enterprise Holdings.
